Message from Attorney General Eric Schmitt
Dear Kids:
I know you have a lot of fun on the Internet, and that is great. But did you know you also have to be very careful when you’re on the Internet, because you don’t always know who you might be talking to?
There are a few simple rules that you should always follow when you’re on the Internet:
- Never agree to meet someone in person that you have met online.
- If someone says something to you that makes you feel uncomfortable — tell an adult right away.
- Don’t share personal information online that reveals your name, phone number, your school, home address or an image of you.
- Remember the “3 Keeps of Internet Safety”: Keep SAFE — Keep AWAY — Keep TELLING
On this page I have provided some websites that offer more information about browsing the internet safely. You can visit these sites and enjoy the online games or watch some helpful videos.
So, enjoy the Internet. Just remember to be safe!
