DATA SHARING & INTELLIGENCE
Many agencies collect data and intelligence on human trafficking, however very few of these agencies share this information with one another, nor has a centralized state repository for that information ever been developed, let alone utilized. Because so many human trafficking cases are multi-jurisdictional, opportunities can be lost.
Through our Human Trafficking Task Force, we are working to change that and maximize our ability to identify and investigate human trafficking case through:
- Utilization of research
- Coordinating intelligence and data sharing across law enforcement agencies in the state of Missouri
- Incorporating intelligence from the financial sector, department of corrections, probation & parole as well as licensing and regulatory agencies
- Maximizing developments in intelligence technology
- Engaging outside national level research firms in our efforts
