CIVIL DIVISION

The Civil Division has primary responsibility for representing the State of Missouri and related employees and entities in civil lawsuits throughout the state. This includes a wide variety of lawsuits and issues, such as enforcing consumer protection laws, defending state laws and the constitution, representing state agencies and employees who have been sued, collecting and enforcing judgments, and more. Attorneys in the Civil Division also provide legal advice and counsel to state agencies and officials.
