"Miss Cleo" corporations, officers plead guilty to criminal charges; will not collect $18.8M in bills from Missourians
October 2, 2002 Attorney General Nixon, right, and St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney Jack Banas answer questions after the corporations behind TV psychic Miss Cleo, along with two corporate officers, pleaded guilty to criminal charges of unlawful merchandising practices. The charges against Florida-based corporations Access Resource Services and Psychic Reader Network were brought in an indictment returned by a St. Charles County grand jury at the request of Attorney General Jay Nixon.
