AG Koster obtains preliminary injunction against Ivey-Selkirk

Jefferson City, Mo. – Attorney General Chris Koster announced today that St. Louis County Circuit Judge David Lee Vincent, III has entered a preliminary injunction prohibiting Malcolm Ivey or his associated companies, Ivey-Selkirk Auctioneers, MDKW, Inc., and Ben J. Selkirk & Sons, Inc., from advertising, offering, or providing any auctioneering services in the State of Missouri for the duration of the state's litigation against him and his companies. The injunction also requires Ivey to return all consigned items to the owners within 30 days.

The Attorney General encourages any individual who may have property currently at Ivey-Selkirk Auctioneers, located at 7447 Forsyth Blvd., Clayton, MO 63105 to contact the Attorney General's Consumer Protection hotline at 1-800-392-8222

Koster filed suit against Ivey-Selkirk April 3, accusing the company's owner of failing to pay consumers for consigned items sold at auction.
