Attorney General Koster enters agreement with Camden County businesses for clean water law violations

Jefferson City, Mo. – Attorney General Chris Koster has reached a settlement in a case against Tupelo Honey's, LLC, Glory Hole, Inc., Cantina Tres Hombres, LLC and Mr. Larry Murdock.  The case concerned the operation and use of an unpermitted wastewater lagoon for certain businesses in the Greenview Shopping Center in Camdenton.

In the settlement, which was entered as a consent judgment by the court, the defendants agreed to either complete construction of a Department of Natural Resources-approved wastewater treatment facility, or connect to an existing, permitted wastewater treatment facility. Both plans require closure of the existing slough.  The defendants also agreed to pay a civil penalty of $15,866.

"My office will continue to work hard to protect the waters of this state," Koster said.  "I am pleased we were able to come to a suitable agreement in this case."
