Montgomery City man found guilty of statutory sodomy

Jefferson City, Mo. – Attorney General Chris Koster said today that Jeffrey Wayne Kemp, 31, of Montgomery City, was found guilty of statutory sodomy in the first degree by a Montgomery County jury August 21. Judge Keith Sutherland will sentence Kemp on October 5. Kemp faces 10 years in prison on each count and could be sentenced to life.

The jury found that Kemp sexually abused a 4-year old female child and a 1-year old female toddler between October 2010 and January 2011 in Montgomery County.

The Attorney General’s office was appointed as special prosecutor in this case. Assistant Attorney General Monty Platz of the Attorney General’s Office prosecuted the case.
