Attorney General's News Release

July 11, 2012

Benton/Henry County gas stations now in compliance with Missouriís underground storage tank law

Jefferson City, Mo. – Attorney General Chris Koster said today that Huntley Summers, owner of Two Brothers Trading Company, LLC, has obtained insurance required by the Missouri Underground Storage Tank Law for three gas stations in Benton and Henry counties.

On July 2, 2012, the Attorney General secured an injunction against the stations’ owner for operating Clinton BP, Clinton Bullseye, and Warsaw Bullseye without insurance—a requirement that is designed to compensate for property damage and bodily injury from potential releases of petroleum from USTs. The injunction prohibited the stations from dispensing gasoline at the stations until he obtained insurance required by the UST Law. By bringing the three stations into compliance with the UST Law as required by the court’s injunction, the three facilities are now able to dispense gasoline to customers.
