Ava woman pleads guilty to felony stealing

Jefferson City, Mo. -- Attorney General Chris Koster said today that Lisa M. Shields, of Ava, Missouri, has pleaded guilty to felony stealing and has been sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections.

Shields admitted to using her roommate’s debit card on eight occasions without permission, withdrawing more than $1,000 from various ATMs around Dallas County. Shields was captured on surveillance video during the unauthorized transactions.

Koster’s office served as special prosecutor on the case.
