Jefferson City, Mo. – Attorney General Chris Koster today released the Rams’ proposal for upgrading the Edward Jones Dome in compliance with Sunshine Law requests to the state of Missouri. The proposal is on the Attorney General’s website at: http://ago.mo.gov/RamsDocs.pdf.
Koster had announced May 7 that the state would release the documents today unless a judge said the records should remain closed. Since May 7, no representative of any party to the negotiations has attempted to articulate an exception to Missouri’s Sunshine Law, and thus the documents are being released.
“The proposal for upgrades to the Edward Jones Dome is an open record under Missouri’s Sunshine Law,” Koster said. “While the Sunshine Law includes some necessary exceptions, the law is rooted in the position that public business should be conducted in public, particularly when taxpayer dollars are involved.”
