Jefferson City, Mo. -– Attorney General Chris Koster said today Associate Judge Debra Hopkins has sentenced Joe Pat Carl to 10 years in state prison for attempting to manufacture methamphetamine and 10 years for possession of a controlled substance. The sentences will be served concurrently. On a change of venue from St. Clair County, a Bates County jury found earlier this year found Carl guilty of the crimes.
Koster said Carl was found to have possessed ingredients and equipment with the intent to manufacture at his residence in St. Clair County.
Koster said Assistant Attorneys General Tim Anderson and Josh Harrell assisted in the prosecution of the case.
