Attorney General Koster reminds prospective adoptive parents of online guide to help through adoption process

Jefferson City, Mo. – November is National Adoption Month, and Attorney General Chris Koster is reminding Missourians who are considering adoption that his office offers an online publication to help them throughout the adoption process.

“This publication, Welcome Home, was designed to help educate Missourians who are considering adoption,” Koster said. “There are countless children awaiting adoption and many people anxious to open their hearts and their homes to provide loving families for many of these children. Often, though, the adoption process can seem daunting. This publication will provide these prospective parents with basic information that will guide them to ask the necessary questions to make good decisions.”

Koster said Missourians can access the guide at http://ago.mo.gov/adoption/. The publication explains state and federal adoption laws, provides information on both domestic and international adoption, provides government forms you may need during the adoption process, and answers frequently asked questions about adoption.
