Attorney General Koster announces indictment of Ronald E. Varvera in St. Francois County

Jefferson City, Mo. -- Attorney General Chris Koster today announced a two-count indictment of Ronald E. Varvera of Fredericktown. The first count is stealing without consent and the second count is stealing by deceit.

The indictment sets forth that Mr. Varvera appropriated property and services of a value of at least $500 but not more than $25,000, including truck tires, tractor tires, gravel, gasoline, water tanks, a wood-burning stove, labor services of county employees working on county time, towing services and usage of St. Francois County equipment without the consent of St. Francois County. The indictment further sets forth that Mr. Varvera appropriated at least $500 but not more than $25,000 in cash reimbursements for mileage on property owned by St. Francois County.
