Attorney General Jay Nixon remembers U.S. Senator, Missouri Attorney General and friend Thomas Eagleton

Attorney General Jay Nixon issued the following statement after the passing of former U.S. Senator and Missouri Attorney General Thomas Eagleton:

“There are great public servants, and then there was Tom Eagleton. Since the first time I met Tom Eagleton at the age of 12 at a campaign event hosted by my parents, I have always been struck by how the smartest guy in the room could also be the most compassionate. It was these unique qualities that made Tom Eagleton an absolute treasure to this state and this country.”
