Statement from Attorney General Nixon on the death of former Lt. Gov. Harriett Woods

Jefferson City, Mo. — The State of Missouri lost an important leader today with the death of former Lt. Governor Harriett Woods. Even in my most recent meetings with her, I was impressed with her strength, her dignity and her continued advocacy for equality and justice. She was a true public servant committed to the common good, above all else.

Georganne and I send our condolences to the Woods family. We will all miss this woman of great character.
