Jefferson City, Mo. — Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon will hold hearings this month around the state regarding a new state law that can help Missourians prevent unwanted telemarketing calls. The hearings will provide citizens an opportunity to learn more about the state Don't Call list, which will begin operation next year and be managed by Nixon's office.
The Attorney General's Office will introduce automated registration for the Don't Call list after the first of the year and will open registration statewide at that time. There will no cost for consumers to be on the list.
