Jefferson City, Mo. — Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley announced that his office is investigating possible misrepresentations by Rough Country Rustic Furniture, LLC, an online furniture company based in Wright County, Missouri. The investigation began in December 2017. Approximately 598 complaints have been received from consumers nationwide.

The investigation is looking into the circumstances surrounding the numerous consumer complaints directed at the Missouri company. The Attorney General’s Office met with representatives of Rough Country Rustic Furniture in February. The company agreed to provide the Attorney General’s Office with information on the status of complaints.

“My office will aggressively pursue those who defraud Missourians,” Hawley said. “Making consumers whole is always the goal in cases of this nature. However, if that cannot be accomplished, we will pursue other avenues.”
