Job DescriptionThe Office of Attorney General has an opening for a collector/legal secretary. Qualified individuals should have excellent typing, clerical, telephone, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience using Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is preferred, as is prior legal experience. Prior collection or customer service experience is required. The position involves intensive interaction with internal and external clients to collect monies owed to the State of Missouri. Responsibilities include drafting correspondence, drafting legal documents, filing legal documents, and conducting investigations to locate debtors and their assets. Applicants must be able to exercise independent judgment, work well under pressure, and handle multiple projects while managing a large caseload. Salary range $29,500-$32,500.
