Civil, Disability and Workers' Rights

 

Mission of the Division of Civil, Disability and Workers' Rights:

To assure equal treatment of and access to public facilities for all Missouri citizens to protect the rights of workers to be paid for their work according to Missouri law and to monitor the presence of unauthorized alien workers in the workplaces of Missouri.

The Division of Civil Disability and Workers' Rights represents the Missouri Commission on Human Rights in all cases before the Administrative Hearing Commission and in all subsequent court actions.

The Division litigates cases referred by the Department of Labor Division of Labor Standards on alleged violations of the Prevailing Wage and Minimum Wage laws of Missouri.

The Division investigates complaints filed by citizens who report the employment of unauthorized alien workers by Missouri employers. The Division is charged with implementation of the Missouri statute prohibiting the practice.
