Pre-approved credit card offers

While many consumers receive them, many don't realize they can opt out of pre-approved (or pre-screened) offers of credit and insurance. Consumer have this right under federal law. Opting out can be done online at www.optoutprescreen.com or by phone at 1-888-5OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688).

Unwanted credit card offers you do receive should be shredded or destroyed to prevent identity theft.
