Beware of any solicitor coming to your door offering driveway repairs. One of the oldest scams around, a con artist comes to a consumer's door and claims to have leftover asphalt from a nearby job. He then asks for payment in advance, then does little or no work. There have even been instances of workers painting a driveway black after being paid, then disappearing.
