Identity Theft quiz

Technology is available that allows a caller to display a telephone number other than his or her own on Caller ID. There are few, if any, laws anywhere in the U.S. that ban this practice.

Consumer who see caller ID showing a familiar number should not be lulled into a false sense of security, especially if a caller asks for financial or personal information. For example, a con artist make program caller ID to display the phone number of your bank, then ask for financial information regarding your account.
