Another Branson timeshare operator sued
AG Nixon has sued a timeshare seller on consumer fraud charges, based out of Branson.
Almost every day we get complaints from seniors and others being victimized and sold a bill of goods while vacationing in Branson. Timeshare companies and travel clubs are the biggest sources of complaints. Consumers enter a high-pressure sales presentation, buy, then regret it.
Or if they don't regret it right away, they do as soon as they realize they're not getting what they were promised.
For those of you who vacation in Branson or have friends and family who do, tell them to think long and hard before accepting one of these travel pitches. At the very least, consumers should take a day to think about it, rather than signing right away.

A fool and thier money are soon parted. Timeshare sales are nothing more than an event to convience people that timeshare sales are the SMARTEST way to save money. If you take the sale price of a timeshare week of $13,000 and the so called monthly expenses of $59 to $79 along with the so called $250 a week cost for booking fees.....you are spending like $300 a day for so called luxury. Book a fine hotel and leave it alone at that. The next lastest phase to essentially decreasing the purchase price to $2-3,000 and increasing the monthly fee structure to as much as $200 a month. What ever the deal, you FEEL GOOD for signing the contract. What we have in many cases are buyers remorse since in most cases the clients are asked a simple question...YES or NO. ZZZThere are no guns, high pressure or games...it is simply the right of passage between a husband and wife to make a joint decision...one of the man not being insulted into saying I can not afford it or I do not make enough money and the women making an economic decision rather than an emotional decision. It is like being charged $60 a plate for a reception or $2,000 for photography pictures at your wedding or perhaps buying a car and paying too high a price and too high of interest with too many options. The timeshare game is part of the capitalistic culture and without it we would certainly lose more of our freedoms. As far as the operators, the contracts state what you get and that is a legal binding contract in most states including MISSOURI. So if the State of Missouri is much interested is STOPPING timeshare sales....then they need a cooling off period of 30 days underwhich the requirement for the buyers is a letter stating that you are being warned that you are STUPID for buying the timeshare period. Or rather a law that states you are stupid for signing the contract and the contract is not valid...unless you sign it a second time making you doubly stupid! What also is the right of passage is those persons who signed, paid for thier mistakes and yet do not tell anyone else of thier troubles. In fact it is these persons that wish to have others follow thier mistakes and recieve referral bonus dollars for lying. So the line is getting longer these days for people willing to sign...in fact bookings are increasing and the local school districts make the tax revenue due to the empty so called timeshare making it difficult into stopping the timeshare sales all together impossible. Not to mention the local permits, jobs and construction.....a circle of life. So my recommendation is to just say NO....otherwise I consider you stupid

Hi, me and my husband attended one of these tour for timeshare deals. It was the worst experience of our lives. I was pressured after repeating several times that i was not intersted . I even said no matter what you say we will not buy a timeshare even if its a quarter. They ahd 4 different people come to the table to try and convince us and we still said no. They even tried to find out how much money we had in the bank.Tried to convince we should spend our money on our wedding because sometimes getting married isnt the best thing for people. I looked around and saw all the elderly people and people in thier 50's and felt sorry for them. I am a very blunt person and i felt pressured i cant imagine what they could be saying to those other people around me. We felt pressured to stay because they gave us free tickets. But eventually After 3 hours of this we got up and left. It was supposed to be 1 1/2 long!! On the way out there was another couple who was upset over what they experienced. 49,000 dollars for a timeshare was what they quoted us. 1300 a month payments. That is insane. This ruined our whole trip we have 5 kids and dont have alot of money. This was our first outing without the kids in 13 years. our first year together. we were so upset over this embarrasing and harrasment that it put a damper on everything after that. i am pissed about this. I dont know what can be done but i feel very sorry for those people who are conned into this. Some reporter should go in there with a video camera and tape what is being done. the grand crown resort and surry inn was the ones that did this. BEWARE anyone that goes to branson. sometimes free isnt free. there is a catch. I should of just paid for my tckets.

Just call us stupid, they wore us down and we are in our late 60's and should have known better, and we thought we did know better. After 4+ hours and all the lies they told us, I do not why we signed on the dotted line. Bass Pro Shop should not promote this kind of sales and I was asked again last week if I would like a trip to Branson for only $59.00. I am one of those angry people also.
