Do you still have an analog TV?

If so, the Federal Communications Commission wants to remind you that in February 2009, your set won't work unless you have the right equipment to receive a digital signal. I admit I'm not sure - mine at home is about 5 years old.

You probably don't, unless you made the effort to purchase an HD television with a digital tuner in the last few years. Today, most new sets come with a built in digital tuner, but the sets from even 2 years ago, did not have them as standard.
A set top converter will allow your old set to continue getting signals, but an upgrade will open up the world of digital television to you. The improvements in resolution are worth the investment.
